Her husband is a milkman by profession; most of his relatives are doing the same business. He sells milk in the market and in this market most of the retailers are his relatives. Due to competition he has moved his milk shop to another place so that he could get the maximum profit for his family. Due to shifting to a new place he does not have money left to buy milk from the wholesaler.
Therefore, Abida requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan, so that her husband would be able to buy milk to sell.
Abida is very happy after taking this loan and says thank you to Kiva and to its field partner BRAC Pakistan.
