A loan of $1,000 helped to buy fertilizer for his corn crop.

Wilver Antonio's story

Wilver, 36, is single living with his wife and sister; he has no children. He was able to complete secondary school thanks to his late father’s support. He’s been working the land for 14 years having learned from his father who would take him to work in the cotton fields. He still works the land and shares the work with an uncle. Being an enterprising person who wants to improve when he’s not working on his crops he sells medicine door to door in order not to be completely dependent on the corn harvest.

Wilver has 21,000 square meters of corn planted and needs the loan to buy fertilizer to insure the corn harvest. In future, Wilver plans to build his own house and to continue working to feed the family.
