Laura is 52 years old and married with five children. Two of her children attend school and the others have finished school. Three years ago, she decided to start a school that concentrates on early childhood education. The school has grown and this is where Laura spends the entire day teaching and caring for the children.
Laura is asking for a loan to buy desks and books for the children to use at the school. She hopes that her business will grow into a primary school and she will be able to serve more students. Her challenge is that some parents fail to pay school fees, making it difficult for her to run the school. The extra income that she will raise will improve her living standards and pay school fees for her remaining children.
