Riziki is married and has five children, three in school and two adults. She lives at her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is household consumables.
For over twenty years, she has operated a tailoring business, making garments for both men and women, and curtains. She cites seasonality as her major challenge.
With the Kshs (Kenyan shillings) 15,000 she wants to purchase cloth materials and sewing thread for her business. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost his business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
