In July 1995, Jose’s friend introduced him to the delivery service industry. Jose really enjoyed the work, and decided to start his own business as an independent delivery truck driver.
Jose now works in Philadelphia, delivering medicine to various pharmacies. He also makes large deliveries for a Hispanic newspaper company. Jose serves all types of businesses and he continues to expand. Jose says he has developed relationships with his clients and this sets him apart from the competition.
The money from this loan will go towards the purchase of another more efficient van for Jose’s delivery service. Eventually, Jose would like to make bigger deliveries using cargo vans. His long-term goal is to manage a team of 20 vans throughout the tri-state area and Pennsylvania.
