Maricel is 29 years old and lives in Getafe, Bohol with her husband and six young children. Her oldest is 9 years old while her youngest is 10 months. Her husband helps support the family by working in construction while she runs a sari-sari (or variety) store where she sells various items like cooking oil, canned food, shampoo, soap and dry goods. Her business started 10 years ago. She is asking for a loan to buy a rice, various grocery items and soft drinks. In the future, she hopes to expand her store and increase its profitability so that she can pay for her children’s education.
