Inició con una farmacia ubicada en su pueblo natal, en el departamento de la Guajira, pero, desde hace 5 años se trasladó a la ciudad en busca de mejores oportunidades de estudio para sus hijos; por lo que tuvo que vender su negocio y con el dinero que obtuvo, compró una salsamentaria ubicada cerca a la casa donde reside actualmente. Trabaja todos los días desde las 6:30 am y hasta las 10:00 pm, para aprovechar las ventajas que posee, pues el negocio está muy bien ubicado y tiene mucha trayectoria en el sector, por lo que ya es reconocido por la comunidad, gracias a lo cual ha generado buenos ingresos para el sustento familiar. La cliente es una mujer luchadora, pujante, activa y perseverante. Solicita el crédito con el ánimo de invertirlo en la compra de una moto para realizar los domicilios de una manera más ágil y oportuna, así podrá ahorrar mucho tiempo productivo, que en otras palabras significa ganancia para su negocio, podrá atraer más clientes y así aumentar los ingresos que recibe para su familia. This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
