Debido a una difícil situación económica por la que atravesó luego de quedarse sin empleo, tomó la iniciativa de comenzar a realizar un curso de peluquería en una escuela de belleza, luego decidió independizarse e iniciar su propio negocio para generar los recursos necesarios para el sustento y velar por su futuro. Montó una peluquería en la que ofrece diversos servicios como corte, cepillado, barbería, tratamientos capilares y adicionalmente vende productos de belleza y accesorios. El cliente es un hombre alegre, perseverante, activo y trabajador, a pesar de todos los obstáculos que se le han presentado a nivel económico, él ha sabido manejar la situación y salir adelante. Actualmente solicita el crédito que desea invertir en la compra de insumos, herramientas de trabajo y artículos para la venta (tijeras, cepillos, shampoo, acondicionador, tratamientos capilares, accesorios, gel para el cabello, entre otros) con lo que podrá prestar un mejor servicio y tendrá variedad de productos disponibles para satisfacer las necesidades de los clientes, aumentado las ventas y las ganancias que son el resultado de su labor. This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
