A loan of $1,175 helped to buy ladies' bags to sell.

David's story

David is an old client of Ugafode Microfinance who applied for a loan of UGX 3,000,000. He runs a small shop dealing in ladies’ bags in a nearby trading centre and has been doing this for more than five years.

The purpose of the loan is to restock his business so that he can increase his earning to maintain his family, pay school fees for his siblings and develop himself. David is an honest and very hardworking man, but is always limited by capital.

He intends to shift from a smaller room to a bigger room in Mbarara town, where he says turnover and profit margins are higher than where he is currently operating.
