Alvard is an experienced farmer from the village Surenavan of Ararat region. Her family consists of her 81-year-old father, her husband, her daughter and three sons. Alvard is a nurse in the local ambulance. She is the only breadwinner of the family. However, her salary of a nurse is not even close to covering the family's basic needs. To be able to take care of her large family's needs, Alvard is engaged in cultivation of wheat, walnuts, and some fruits, including peaches, apricots, plums, quinces, pomegranates, pears, and apples. Her family helps her a lot in running the agribusiness; her sons and husband help her in selling the products in the local market. To continue the usual agricultural activities, Alvard needs some financial resources. A loan of USD 2700 will be a great support to this hardworking woman and her family, enabling them to purchase wheat seeds, buy fertilizers, and pay for irrigation and harvesting services. Alvard and her family will be grateful to the lenders for their goodwill in supporting them to maintain their agribusiness.
