Patrick is married with an only child. He operates a service-based business providing motor transportation in the community of Bunawan, Calamba. His wife is working abroad as an Overseas Filipino Worker to make a living.
Patrick borrowed a loan of 50,000 PHP from Gata Daku MPC, which he had joined in 2009 to acquire a motorcycle for his transportation business. He plans to use the profits he earns to finance his own farm. In the future, Patrick is determined to improve the general living situation of his family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
