Jessie is 42 years old and lives in Logan Town, well known as one of the earliest communities in Liberia. She is unmarried and has three children between the ages of 12 and 18, all presently in school and living at home. Jessie stopped her education at the tenth grade.
For the past six years, she has been running a shop where she sells cosmetics, biscuits, etc. She started this business with a little money from her susu (daily local saving) and learned this way of selling from her friends. She likes her business because she makes a lot of profits, and it keeps her busy.
Jessie is requesting a loan to buy more cosmetics, biscuits, etc., for her business. Her plans are to build a house and educate her children.
