To achieve her goal of becoming a physical therapist, Benita has enrolled in a kinesiology program at The UNICEN. She plans on graduating in February, 2014 but without a loan from Vittana she fears that she will need to defer her graduation. With this loan, Benita plans on using the funds to pay her graduation fee. This fee is often more expensive than the semester's tuition and is a frequent impediment for graduating students in La Paz.
One of Benita's biggest challenges has been making time to work and go to school. Currently Benita is an assistant in a physical therapy clinic and earns $17 a day. With a degree she expects to earn $49 a day. Benita's parents were never able to complete their primary education and so for her family finances have always been tight. With two older siblings, Benita is unsure how she will be able to afford her tuition fees on her own without the assistance of a Vittana Loan.
