The Communal Bank Aníbal San Andrés meets once a fortnight in Cantón Montecristi, which is known for its rich precolonial culture and its crafts which are recognised at a National and International level. The place is famous for its straw hats.

Ángela is a great wife and mother who is a salesperson as well as taking care of her home. She sells straw products like hats and decorations among other things. To sell her products she travels to Quito, Guayaquil and Esmeraldas every week to deliver her products to business people in these areas. She spends two days in these cities until she has run out of products and the she returns home and travels to another city the following week. She buys her merchandise from artisans in slums. The best selling products are the straw hats that are valued by national and foreign tourists.

She will use this loan to buy more straw hats to sell to her customers. She has been a member of the Communal Bank for more than 8 years and she likes the help she received.

Her dream is to have her own home as she currently lives in her mother's home.

EL Banco Comunal Aníbal San Andrés se reúne cada quince días en el Cantón Montecristi, conocido por su rica cultura pre colonial y por su artesanía que es reconocida a nivel nacional e internacional. Lugar de los famosos sombreros de paja toquilla.

En este lugar vive la señora Ángela tiene 43 años de edad está casada y de esta relación tiene tres hijos de 11, 9 y 5 años que estudian en la escuela. El marido es albañil.

Doña Ángela es una gran madre y esposa que además de estar pendiente de su hogar también se dedica al comercio, ella vende productos de paja toquilla como sombreros, adornos entre otras cosas, para realizar sus ventas ella viaja todas las semanas a Quito, Guayaquil y Esmeraldas a entregar a comerciantes de estos lugares sus productos, se queda dos días en estas ciudades hasta que le hayan cancelado lo que dejo, luego regresa a su hogar y viaja la siguiente semana a otra ciudad. Su mercadería compra a artesanos de los Bajos de Montecristi. El producto que más vende los sombreros de paja toquilla que son muy apreciados por turistas nacionales y extranjeros.

Este crédito lo va a emplear en comprar más sombreros de paja toquilla para vender a sus clientes. Está en el Banco Comunal más de 8 años y le gusta por la ayuda recibida.
Su sueño es tener su casa propia ya que donde vive es de su mamá.
