EL Banco Comunal Camino Al Progreso se reúne cada quince días en el Cantón Montecristi, conocido por su rica cultura pre colonial y por su artesanía que es reconocida a nivel nacional e internacional. Lugar de los famosos sombreros de paja toquilla.

En este lugar vive la señora Sonia, tiene 40 años de edad y mantiene una relación de unión libre de la cual tiene dos hijos de 16 y 14 años que estudian en colegio. El marido trabaja con ella.

Doña Sonia junto a su querido esposo tienen un restaurante en su casa, allí todas las tardes se encargan de preparar meriendas, las mismas que son el deleite de sus clientes, todos los días prepara diferentes platos para satisfacción de sus clientes que día a día aumentan. Llevan más de 12 años que se dedican a esta actividad la misma que les permite salir adelante honradamente y así mismo estar al tanto de las necesidades de sus hijos.

Este crédito lo va a emplear en comprar víveres para preparar los alimentos. Lleva 7 años en el Banco Comunal y le gusta porque en el banco ha hecho muy buenas amigas.

Su sueño es darles una buena educación a sus hijos.
