Leonides is married to a welder and she has four children. She operates a tailoring services in their own home, which is located in the village of Aurora in Zamboanga del Sur to make a living. She has been in this business for thirty years, earning at least twenty thousand a month aside from other activities that she earns money from.
She wants to borrow a loan from Gata Daku MPC to repair sewing machines used in the business and buy additional textiles. An amount of 40,000 PHP will make her business improve and run smoothly. Her hope is to expand the services to gain more profit for the future needs of her family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
