Gloria is married with five children and resides in the village of Aurora in Zamboanga del Sur. Her husband is a farmer, and provides their main source of income. Gloria runs a retail store to earn a living. She took a loan from Gata Daku MPC micro credit to buy more items like slippers and plasticware. She plans to use her profits to improve her working capital to expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
