Competing with the family business, Debbie (right) paints and resurfaces apartment complexes. Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Debbie’s family has a painting company, too. They moved to Austin, Texas where she currently services three different properties along with her business partner, Elda (left).

According to their business plan, the mission of C&E Painting, LLC is to give exceptional customer service and work, and to be perfect at each task while providing compassion and integrity, all within deadline.

Together, the girls are working to brand their business in hopes that they will complete a website, create business cards, and market their business on and Angie’s List. However, before they are able to reach those long-term business goals, they began searching for a business loan.

Turning to BIG Austin, a community partner, the girls were referred to Accion Texas Inc. After applying and being approved for a loan, they purchased business insurance and purchased tools to decrease the amount of work on their end and increase their possible clientele. With the help of the loan, Debbie and Elda plan to exceed $10,000 profit within 12 months.
