Mario Javier
Mario, 34, lives in the city of Ica with his wife and their four children. He is hard-working and enthusiastic. He dedicates all his efforts to moving his family forward. Unfortunately, due to a lack of economic resources and the need to work, Mario couldn't study a professional career in Business Administration.

Mario works on his own initiative as a construction worker, completing various jobs in his city. He works every day for about 10 hours and he thinks it's going well because of his dedication and his kind treatment of customers.

Mario is very grateful for the Kiva loans. Because of their help, he will buy wood and tools for work. This will allow him to provide services, and keep working woking toward his greatest dream of having his own home.

Mario es un hombre de 34 años, vive en la ciudad de Ica con su esposa y sus cuatro hijos, el es muy trabajado, entusiasta, que dedica todos sus esfuerzos por sacar adelante a su familia; lamentablemente por falta de recursos económicos y por la necesidad de trabajar, Mario no pudo estudiar la carrera profesional de Administración de Empresas.
Por iniciativa propia, Mario trabaja como albañil realizando diversas construcciones en su ciudad, el trabaja todos los días por un aproximado de 10 horas y cree que le va bien por su dedicación y por el trato amable que brinda a sus clientes.
Mario se encuentra muy agradecido con los prestamistas Kiva, ya que gracias a la ayuda brindada comprara maderas y herramientas de trabajo, de esta manera Mario podrá seguir brindando sus servicios, así pues el seguirá trabajando y esforzándose para lograr su gran sueño de tener su casa propia.

Caja Rural Señor de Luren is a microfinance institution based in Ica in southern Peru that primarily promotes the development of the country’s agricultural sector through lending. Today, it also offers credit for consumers, microenterprises and housing improvements, and has expanded its financial services to promote micro-savings and provide micro-insurance. This institution has been instrumental in helping borrowers recover from the devastating earthquake in the Ica region in 2007, and works with Peru’s National Bank to reach some of the poorest and most remote microfinance clients in the country.
