Armen is an agronomist from Goris City of the Syuniq region. He lives with his mother, brother and wife. The only employed person in the family is Armen's wife, who works in the private sector at a very low salary. To be able to take care of the family's basic needs Armen breeds livestock, including pigs and piglets. The livestock is the main source of income for them. Armen's family helps him a lot in the activities related to the livestock breeding.

As the family's needs are increasing day by day, Armen wants to expand the livestock of pigs and piglets. For this reason, he asks for the lenders' support to help him collect a loan of USD 3,000 to purchase 13 new pigs and to buy some forage for the livestock. As this is Armen's first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative of Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products before because they have no credit history. Armen and his family will be very grateful to the lenders for helping them raise the needed amount of money to be able to meet their basic needs.
