The group “La Palma” consists of nine women and a young man. All of them are very hard-working, but above all they can be characterized by their happiness. Among them exists a great network of support. Angelina, or Ange as they call her, is 44 years old, married for 27 years to Jorge. Together they have a family with four children, three of whom are still dependent upon them and two are still in school. Ange has had a flower shop for nine years and says that the idea was hers. She began it by renting a locale, selling only natural flowers and with time she decided to take a class in flower arranging. "I enjoy seeing how flowers can be decorated and combined; if the flowers are very pretty by themselves, they are even more so as an arrangement." Ange's business is going very well and little by little her husband also is becoming more interested in this business so she has taught him everything she knows and now each of them has an independent flower shop. They aren't having any difficulties and their flower shops are successful in each of their seasons. They buy the flowers in another town where they get a cheaper price in order to increase a little more their profits. "My only goal is to see my children become professionals; my spouse and I inspire each other to be able to pay all the expenses of the children's education." The members of the group are Angeles, Blanca Estela, they are seeking a loan in order to invest in growing yearling sheep, Adriana wool and cosmetics, Emma sells tortillas, Kevin raises chickens, Milagros sells clothing, Carmen baby clothing, Emma R. steers and Norma rents furniture.
