Katherine dreams of working in the tourism industry, but without a degree, she knows it may never be possible. To achieve her goal, Katherine has enrolled in the Universidad Autonoma de Pando. She plans on graduating in December, 2013, but without a loan from Vittana, she fears that she will need to defer her graduation.
With a loan, Katherine plans to cover the cost of her graduation fees. In Bolivia, it is very common to have fees for earning your title before graduating. Unfortunately, Katherine's parents never had the opportunity to complete their high school education. Without the opportunity for a higher degree, her parents never had the chance to move up.
Growing up, finances have always been tight. With one older sibling attending college already, Katherine is unsure how she will be able to finance her education on her own without the assistance of a Vittana loan.
