Hout C., 25, is a young farmer who lives in Kampong Cham with her husband and their two young children. Her husband is an electrician who operates out of Kampong Cham making US$3.50 per day, while her own farm can only generate US$0.50 per day. The electrician business is struggling with expansion, however, because they lack the capital necessary to purchase the proper tools and materials that the business needs. Hout C. has asked for a loan of US$1000 to purchase these tools and materials to facilitate her husband's business and increase the family's income.
