Ndungu is 41 years old and has a knitting and sewing business in Kangundo town. He makes sweaters, table mats and chair cushions. He is married and has two children. He has been in this business for 14 years and it has been profitable. Besides this, he also has a vehicle with which he has a transport business.
This is his first loan term and he plans to use the loan to buy knitting materials for knitting sweaters. These include different varieties of wool and threads. He anticipates making more income from selling sweaters and he will use the generated profits to buy more material.
Ndungu hopes to grow his business, buy another vehicle for transport business and also give his children a good education.
