Mrs. Nancy Piedad is 50 years old, is widowed, and completed her 4th year of secondary school but did not want to continue studying. She has 2 children, one son studies in Senati and her second son works as a driver. She lives in the District of San Pedro de Lloc, in the Province de Pacasmayo, in the Department of La Libertad.



The entrepreneur sells prepared food and snacks, this was her mother’s business but due to illness Nancy inherited and manages the business. A neighbor invited her to participate in the "Libertad” Communal Bank. With the first loan received of S/. 300.00, she bought sweets, rice, oil, vegetable stew, sugar, chicken, meats, etc. She has been working with her partner, Manuela Ramos, for three years.



With the S/.1500.00 loan that she will pay within 6 months she plans to buy rice, sugar, milk, noodles, etc. She dreams of seeing her children become professionals, for them she has to work every day with more effort especially as a single mother that receives no support from the father of her children. She also dreams of slowly purchasing some articles such as a TV, DVD player and sound equipment for her home.

La señora Nancy Piedad tiene 50 años, es viuda, estudió hasta 4to año de secundaria, no quiso seguir estudiando, tiene 02 hijos, un hijo estudia en Senati y su otro hijo trabaja en una combi (transporte), vive en el Distrito de San Pedro de Lloc en la Provincia de Pacasmayo en el Departamento de La Libertad. La empresaria se dedica a la venta de comida y de golosinas, este negocio era de su mamá, pero por motivos de enfermedad se lo dejó para que lo administre. Una vecina la invitó a participar en el Banco Comunal “LIBERTAD”, y con el primer préstamo de S/. 300.00 que recibió compró golosinas, arroz, aceite, menestras, azúcar, pollo, carne, etc. La socia viene trabajando tres años con Manuela Ramos. Con el préstamo de S/.1500.00 que cancelará en un plazo de 06 meses piensa comprar arroz, azúcar, leche, tallarines, etc. Sueña con ver a sus hijos profesionales para lo cual tiene que trabajar cada día con mayor esfuerzo porque es madre soltera y no tiene apoyo del papá de los niños. Sueña también con ir comprando poco a poco algunos artefactos como televisor, DVD, equipo de sonido para su casa.
