Joram is 37 years old and the father of three children, of whom all are currently studying in school. For the last nine years, he has earned a living by selling goods from his general store in Mpeketoni, Lamu, where he earns a monthly profit of 13,000 KES.
Joram is applying for his fourth loan of KES. 50,000 to purchase additional stock needed for his business. He will use the profit from the business to pay for school fees, purchase food for the family and expand the current business. Joram hopes to own his own supermarket in future so as to improve his family's financial stability.
