Mayra Alejandra
Alejandra is 19 years old. From a young age her dream has been to become an artist, despite the armed conflicts which she has had to live through with her family. Her mentality of being a bigger person overcoming any difficulty has never changed. Life for her is a difficult task that she is ready to tackle with the strength in her soul, wanting to set an example for her younger siblings who are starting out in life.

Thanks to the support she has received from Kiva, she managed to finish her first semester during which she learnt techniques and developed her style of drawing, bringing to her qualities a concept of publicity which in the future will help her to obtain better opportunities in her career. She finished her first semester without any problems, and with the support of Kiva she has reduced the costs of her career, including the costs to her family. Equally, she is keeping up to date in order to continue acquiring knowledge from her professors and classmates.

Today, she is developing herself both professionally and personally, and she is grateful for this collaboration. She hopes to finish her studies with merit and realize her dream of becoming an artist. She is on the right track and yearning to continue. When her concern about continuing her studies was growing, thanks to Kiva she was relieved from not having to worry about being the best academically and her biggest happiness is knowing that there are organizations that help realize people's dreams. Given this opportunity, Alejandra would like to show you a small example of of her artwork.
