It was her parents who taught her to work the land at a very early age, since in the area of family farming, coffee cultivation is a tradition. She has decided to put some capital into the coffee crops through financing a loan through the COMIXMUL cooperative. She will use this loan to buy 12 quintals of fertilizer, 12 quintals of urea, and 10 quintals of formula to protect her coffee harvest from climate change, pests and others.
Her short-term plan is to increase the volume of coffee production, which will bring more income to her family. That way, she can support her child in their studies, and continue to form an endowment for their welfare in the future.

Sus planes a corto plazo es lograr incrementar el volumen de producción de café el cual pueda traer más ingresos para su familia ya que de esa forma ella podrá apoyar a su hijo con sus estudios y seguir formando un patrimonio para su bienestar en el futuro.

Loan terms will vary depending on need, and borrowers can choose to make a "bullet" payment timed with harvest profits. Agricultural loans are considered risky in Honduras due to external forces like unpredictable weather and worldwide crop prices. As a result, many traditional financial institutions are unwilling to offer these loans.
