Michael is 43 years old and comes from Nakuru. He is married to Agatha who does not produce additional income for the family. He has four children aged 14, 11, 8 and 3 years old.
He has a general retail shop where he sells vegetables like tomatoes, cabbages and onions and he also sells items like sugar, flour, salt, cooking fat, rice, etc. He has applied for a loan of Kshs. 20,000 which is his second from Kadet Ltd, and he intends to use it for adding stock to his shop.
His monthly income at present is Kshs. 15,000 and his intention is to use the anticipated profit from the expanded business for improving his farming activities. His hopes and dreams for the future are that one day he will buy some plots and build rental houses for more income.
