Bahati is a married woman with six children, four of whom go to school, and two who are still too young. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water.
For over four years, she has operated a vegetable selling business, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of the seasonality of her business.
With the loan that she is requesting, she wants to purchase a sack of green vegetables, tomatoes, onions. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
