Nivia lives with her three male sons: Julio, Joaquin and Jorge whom she adores. For eight years she has dedicated herself to selling knitting machines and supplies which she sells from a stall in the city on Sundays and Mondays and from her home during the rest of the week. She has always liked being in business and like a good worker she likes what she does even though as a woman it is sometimes difficult to transport the machines to her small stall. The work is hard as she works all day so that she misses her children. She does not want her children to work but rather to go to school so that they can become honorable professionals so that they can care for her in her old age. She will invest the money she receives from this loan in purchasing merchandise to expand her business so that in the future she can import and export knitting machines.
