Lorn is 40 years old. She is married and resides with two children in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in cultivating rice and fattening up animals for more than ten years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband is employed in a clean water company. He earns about $10 each day. Two of her children are employed in a garment factory. Due to the difficulty in her family’s transportation, Lorn is requesting a loan of $700 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase will enable her to save money on transportation and go to work on time. In the future, she would like to expand her business and decorate her house to make her living conditions much better.
