Hace 15 años conoció el oficio de la confección y se dedicó por varios años a confeccionar para terceros, pero luego, se dio cuenta que el negocio más rentable era comercializar los productos ya elaborados, por lo que cambió de actividad y comenzó a comprar materia prima para mandar a hacer los cortes la confección y el bordado en pantalonetas y sudaderas, que son los productos que ofrece a almacenes y distribuidores. De esta manera ha logrado generar recursos para apoyar a su esposo con la carga económica del hogar. Doris es una mujer emprendedora, activa y luchadora, se motiva para solicitar el crédito como apoyo para seguir con su labor, el que desea invertir en la compra de materia prima al por mayor (telas, hilos, elásticos) con el fin de mandar a elaborar más cantidad de prendas y poder aumentar el inventario para satisfacer la demanda que posee actualmente,esto le abrirá las puertas para conseguir más clientes y aumentar el margen de utilidades mensuales. This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
