The ten members of the Benkadi 6 group are married women who are on average 45 years old, have five children, and live in traditional families in DJIGONSSO, one of the villages in BOUGOURA, the fourth administrative region of Mali. They are working with microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso to be able to see through their agricultural businesses in the rainy seasons. They are on their fourth loan with the institution, and all of their loans have been properly repaid. SITAN ZE, the second one standing from the left in the photo, grows peanuts. With her loan, she plans to buy ingredients, seeds, and small agricultural tools and to pay for the labor to maintain 0.5 hectares. The crops will be sold at the village and market after the harvest to a clientele made up of men and women. She plans to make a profit of 72,500 FCFA at the end. This profit will allow her to repay her loan and also to help her husband with daily expenses.

La production sera vendue au niveau du village et au marché après la récolte, à une clientèle composée d’hommes et de femmes.
Elle compte réaliser un bénéfice de 72500FCFA en fin de campagne.
Ce bénéfice lui permettra de payer son prêt et aussi d’aider son mari dans les dépenses quotidiennes.
Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients.
