The “SECTOR MINERO” communal bank will begin its second cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Villa Exaltación center. It’s made up of nine members and run by a board of directors where Gloria serves as the president.

The members’ businesses include quinoa sales, food sales, neighborhood stores, plastic sales, candy sales, sweater making, and CD sales.

This loan will benefit these small companies including Gloria’s. She says that it’s her first time with Pro Mujer and joined on the invitation of another member. She sells food and started this business several years ago, having seen the sales that this product has.

She will use the money to buy vegetables and rice in the fairs around El Alto. She will then use them to prepare food at her point of sale. This work allows her to generate income to benefit her household however possible. She is married and has three children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the savings and health benefits.

La A.C. “SECTOR MINERO” iniciará el segundo ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Villa Exaltación, está compuesta por nueve integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Gloria es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de jugo de quinua, venta de comida, tienda de barrio, venta de plástico, venta de comida, venta de salchipapa, venta de dulces, tejido de chompas, venta de CD’s.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Gloria es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación una amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de comida; este negocio lo emprendió hace varios años atrás, al observar el comercio que tenía este producto.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de verduras, arroz) que adquirirá de las ferias aledañas a la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella es casada y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el ahorro y el servicio en salud.
