The “JARDINES DEL SUR” group is in their first cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of Villa Exaltación regional office. It's eight members are lead by a Board of Directors with Olga as the Treasurer. There is a variety of businesses amongst the members including the sale of cleaning products, shoe sales, cosmetic sales, selling CD's, a neighborhood store and selling clothes.

This loan will benefit these micro-entrepreneurs, including Olga. She indicated that this is her first time as a member of Pro Mujer, joining on the invitation of a promoter from Pro Mujer, who visited her home. She sells food, something she started a number of years ago. Before that she had worked as a cook's aide and got to know the business.

Olga will use the loan to increase her capital, buying rice, pasta and oil in the surrounding markets of the city of El Alto. And later she will sell the finished product in her commercial space. By working in this way she can generate enough income to support, as best as possible, her household. She lives with her life partner and their three children. When asked what she liked about Pro Mujer, she replied that she liked the life insurance.

La A.C. “JARDINES DEL SUR” iniciará el primer ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Villa Exaltación, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Olga es la Tesorera. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de productos de limpieza, venta de zapatillas, venta de cosméticos, venta de CD’s, tienda de barrio, venta de ropa.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Olga es integrante, ella indica que es la primera vez que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación una promotora de la institución que fue a visitarle a su casa. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de venta de comida; este negocio lo emprendió hace varios años atrás, ya que anteriormente trabajaba de ayudante de cocina y ya conocía la forma de trabajo.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de arroz, fideo, aceite) que adquirirá de las ferias aledañas a la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener en lo posible a su hogar pues ella vive en concubinato y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el el seguro de vida.
