Aramayis is 56 years old. He lives in the village of Srashen, with his wife and two sons. Aramayis has no higher education, and after serving in the army, he worked for many years in a car repairing factory, as a miller. Today, Aramayis works as an inspector at the local forest reserve. His sons also work, and even so, the total family income hardly covers their needs, with the bills that they pay each month.

In spite of working very hard, Aramayis now has insufficient financial resources to organize his eldest son’s wedding party. Like any devoted and heedful parents, Aramayis and his wife want to organize a nice and traditional, Armenian wedding party for their son. They ask a loan of 1,000,000 Armenian drams, to enable them to do some purchases for wedding banquet and organization activities.
