In the El Florón area of the city of Portoviejo, the ten female members and two male members of the 24 de Diciembre Community Bank of El Florón meet every two weeks. They work various jobs within the commercial and service sectors. Some time ago they decided to join together and form this credit group which has helped them a great deal in their business and in their personal lives.

One of the members of this group is Maria Carolina. She is 28 years old, married, and has a six year old son who studying in school. Her husband works for electricity company. She is a housewife who, in order to make money of her own and be able to help her husband cover household expenses, works selling sheets, blankets, clothing, and catalogue products of a variety of brands such as Avon, Yanbal, and Belcorp (beauty supplies, cosmetics, perfumes, and ladies accessories). She sells these products door to door by going out to various parts of the city where she has customers who purchase from her regularly. She takes advantage of the morning to get out early when her young son is in school. She delivers her products on credit and collects at the end of each week. Ever since she came of age she has worked in this profession, which has brought a good deal of satisfaction and now, with the help of these loans, has improved her financial situation.

This loan will go toward the purchase of the sheets, blankets, clothing, and cosmetics which she sells. She has been a member of the community bank since its inception and she appreciates the access it gives her for these loans.

Her goal is to one day have her own boutique.

En el sector conocido como El Florón de la ciudad de Portoviejo se reúnen cada quince días los socias las 10 socias y los 2 socios del Banco Comunal 24 De Diciembre del Florón, se dedican a diversas actividades tales como el comercio en general, la prestación de servicios entre otras cosas. Hace tiempo atrás decidieron unirse y formar este grupo de crédito el cual les ha ayudado mucho en sus negocios y en su vida familiar.

Una de las socias de este grupo es la señora María Carolina, tiene 28 años, es casada y de esta relación tiene un hijo de 6 años que estudia en la escuela. Su esposo trabaja en la empresa Eléctrica.

Ella es un ama de casa que para obtener sus propios recursos y con esto poder ayudar a su esposo a solventar los gastos del hogar se dedica a la venta de sabanas, edredones, ropa y productos de catálogos de varias marcas como Avon, Yanbal y Belcorp (productos de belleza, cosméticos, perfumería y accesorios para damas). Su forma de venta es puerta a puerta para lo cual sale a recorrer por varios lugares de la ciudad donde tiene sus clientes que le compran con frecuencia, ella aprovecha la mañana para salir ya que a esa hora su pequeño está en la escuela, deja sus productos a crédito y cobra cada ocho días. Desde que cumplió la mayoría de edad se dedica a esta profesión la cual le ha dejado muy buenas satisfacciones y ahora con la ayuda de los créditos su situación económica ha mejorado.

Este crédito es para comprar sabanas, edredones, ropa y cosméticos que ella vende. Esta desde el inicio en el Banco Comunal y le gusta por la ayuda que le dan los créditos.

Su sueño es tener una boutique.
