Edwin Edenilson

They have no children together, but his wife's child lives with them. For 6 years he has worked in agriculture, which is an activity that he learned from his parents prior to becoming independent. He now works alone in agriculture and raising cattle. He walks for half an hour every day to arrive at the field where he works. The loan will be used to buy manure and to prepare the earth for cultivation. In this way he can have a source of work that generates income, and will be able to produce products to sell and to consume at home. He wants to be able to continue working, and to cultivate more land every year, with the goal of earning more income for his son, buying a cow and having it to produce future income.

Edwin es un joven de 25 años de edad, estudio hasta séptimo grado, es acompañado y su esposa es ama de casa, ahorita no tiene hijos solo vive con ellos un niño que es de la esposa.

Desde hace 6 años trabaja en la agricultura, fue una actividad que aprendió de sus padres y luego se independizo. Ahora lo hace solo, dedicándose a la agricultura y cría de bovinos; camina todos los días una media hora para llegar a su terreno en donde trabaja.

El préstamo le servirá para comprar abono y prepara la tierra para cultivar. De esta forma, tendrá una fuente de empleo que le genera ganancias, podrá sacar producto para la venta y para el consumo de su hogar.

Él desea continuar trabajando y año con año cultivar mas terreno, con el objetivo de generar ingresos para su hijo y comprar un bovino y tenerlo para que en un futuro sacarle ganancias.

This loan is part of a CrediCampo project to help rural farmers living in extreme poverty plant basic grains to feed their families. Excess product is sold on the local market. These loans are smaller than the typical loans offered by this field partner, and guarantee requirements are also reduced. Individuals who receive this type of loan also get access to technical assistance, information on good environmental practices and increased access to farm inputs like fertilizer. This is considered a high risk loan due to the population and loan purpose, and CrediCampo is one of the very few institutions in El Salvador willing to working with these farmers.
