Domingo es el representante del Grupo Pahaj Central (de camisa tipo polo de color corinto, el primero que se encuentra del lado derecho de la fotografía) es un hombre casado de 54 años de edad, vive junto a su hijo en la Aldea Pahaj, Santa Lucía Utatlán, Sololá.
El es un hombre trabajador que se ha dedicado al cultivo de maíz desde hace 30 años. El ha elegido esta actividad porque puede alimentar a su familia durante un año y lo puede comercializar en el mercado local de su comunidad.
Comenta que desde pequeño sus padres le enseñaron esta labor, ya que a través de lo que realiza obtiene ingresos y ganancias aceptables que le ayudan a cubrir los gastos de su familia.
Los demás integrantes del grupo utilizaran la otra parte del crédito para la siembra de maíz, con el fin de incrementar sus ganancias para brindarles una mejor calidad de vida a sus familias. El préstamo será utilizado para la compra de abono orgánico para el cultivo de maíz.
Su sueño es ampliar su cultivo para obtener más ingresos y así brindarle una mejor calidad de vida a su familia.

About ADICLA

ADICLA (Association for the Holistic Development of the Basin of Lake Atitlán) is nonprofit rural community development association that provides small loans and services to improve quality of life in two of the poorest regions of Guatemala, home to large indigenous populations. Kiva funding will be used to support three innovative credit initiatives: youth business loans, green loans, and smaller loans to help ADICLA move down-market and serve poorer clients.
