Yei is 37 years old, and lives in Sanniquille the capital city of Nimba County which is rich in natural resources. Living conditions there are much better than in the capital city of Liberia, and it is the second most populated county in Liberia.
She did not go to school. She is traditionally married, and her husband is a farmer. Together they have six children between 12 and 23. She said two of her children are in school, and they all live at home.
By selling her husband’s farm products, she was able to establish her business. For ten years now she has been running a small local shop where she sells fashion slippers. She spends ten hours in her business, from Monday to Saturday. One of the problems she faces is her small income.
She is requesting a loan to purchase more fashion slippers for her business. Her plan is to one day to build a modern house.
