This group consists of eight members and is led by a Board of Directors headed by Sra. Claudia as its president. The members of this Communal Bank engage in various businesses such as selling dairy products, selling coffee, making handicrafts, selling food, selling soft drinks, selling sweets, and weaving blankets.


This loan will benefit small entrepreneurs such as Sra. Claudia. She says that she joined Pro Mujer seven years ago after receiving an invitation from a friend who is a member of the organization. Claudia currently has a sewing business in which she makes sweaters. She started this business after she learned her knitting technique and now her business has been a great help.


The loan she is receiving now will be used to increase her capital for buying wool, which she will acquire from the wholesale vendors in the city of El Alto. She will then use the material to make the products she sells from her retail space. Working in this manner enables her to generate income to support her family. Claudia is married and has three children.


When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, Claudia said that she enjoys obtaining credit as a group.

La A.C. “PRINCESITAS DEL AMOR” iniciará el séptimo ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Los Andes, está compuesta por ocho integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Claudia es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: venta de productos lácteos, venta de café, elaboración de artesanías, venta de comida, venta de frescos, venta de dulces, tejido de mantas.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias donde la señora Claudia es integrante, ella indica que hace siete años que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación una amiga que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene un negocio de costura de chompas; este negocio lo emprendió porque conocía la técnica de tejido y fue un gran apoyo.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de lana) que adquirirá de las vendedoras mayoristas de la ciudad de El Alto y posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para mantener su familia, ya que ella es casada y tiene tres hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta el crédito en grupo.
