Rolando Jose
Rolando José is 40 years old, and he is married with three children, the youngest of whom is 15 and still completely dependent on him. He is from Nagarote, which is located in the western part of the country. In his free time he likes being with family and with his children. Sadly he was not able to pursue schooling due to a lack of income, which forced him to work from a very young age. For that reason he struggles every day to offer a better future to his children.

Thanks to his efforts and his desire to get ahead, Rolando José has a welding shop that he has run for the past eight years, and it is located in his home. He works around 10 hours per day offering his services, which he provides with great passion. The goal of the loan is to invest in the purchase of tools in order to offer his services as a welder: He will purchase bolts, metal bars for welding, knives, iron, aluminum, pliers, and presses.

His goal is to obtain a better income in the distant future. Rolando José is thankful for the help from KIVA investors who offer help to people of limited means and to people from poor countries like Nicaragua in order to have a dignified chance at work.
