This is 37-year-old Janet. She lives in Margibi County, which has the largest producing rubber plantation in Liberia. She and her fiancée live together along with their four children, ages ranging from 1 to 18, three of whom are in school. Her fiancée works with Firestone security.
Janet did not attend school, but she has been good at managing her business for over ten years. She described herself as a hardworking woman. She received little money from her fiancée to establish her business. She enjoys her business because she makes more profit and has more customers. She sells for ten hours a day, six days a week.
She is requesting a loan to buy more rubber dishes, such as tubs, buckets, bowls, cups, etc. for her business.
She plans to build a house. She likes to say thanks to the supporters of BRAC Liberia.
