The group WANGNINOU 1 consists of seventeen members who live in the same town. The leader of this group, named Solange (the one with one hand raised in the photo) is 37 years old. With the goal of raising the level of their business in order to better meet the demands of their clientele, this group is requesting financial suppport from ALIDé for the first time. Solange is married to a farmer named Roger. The couple has five children, of whom certain ones go to school and three are under their care. Solange lives together with her husband and her children. The couple takes care of the household responsibilities together. For ten years, Solange has been in business selling corn and gari (manioc flour) in her region. Solange gets her supplies in a market in Benin. With the goal of strengthening her business and satisfying her clientele, Solange, together with the other members of the WANGNINOU 1 group, is requesting a first loan from ALIDé. Her ambition is to develop her business in order to become a wholesaler.

Le groupement WANGNINOU 1 est composé de dix sept membres qui dans le même village. La représentante de ce groupement, du nom de Solange(est celle ayant une main levée sur la photo) est âgée de 37 ans. Dans le but de rehausser le niveau de leur activité afin de mieux faire face à la demande de leur clientèle, ce groupement sollicite pour une première fois l'appui financier de ALIDé. Solange est mariée à un cultivateur du nom de Roger. Le couple a cinq enfants,dont certains scolarisé et trois sont à leur charge. Solange vit ensemble avec son mari et ses enfants. Le couple assure ensemble les charges de la maison. Depuis dix ans, Solange exerce comme activité la vente de maïs et du gari(farine de manioc) dans a région. Solange s'approvisionne dans un marché du Bénin. Dans le but de renforcer son activité et de satisfaire sa clientèle, Solange ensemble avec les autres membres du groupement WANGNINOU 1 sollicite un premier crédit auprès de ALIDé. Son ambition est développé son activité afin de devenir un grossiste.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late.
