Peter, a 60-year-old, married father of four, from Thika, has a business as a mixed crop farmer. He earns a monthly income of KES 17,000 which he uses to support his family. This marks his third loan term with Kenya Agency for Development of Enterprise and Technology (KADET), after successfully repaying his previous loans.
With the loan he has applied for from KADET, he will be able to purchase more seedlings and fertilizer. Additional income created will allow him to cater to his family’s needs and to repay his loan.
In the future, Peter would like to purchase a piece of land and to construct a permanent, residential house. He hopes to start exporting his farm produce.
