Bassam is 44 years old and a married man, who comes from a small village near Tulkarem city. He is a father for seven children, five sons and two daughters. All of them are attending schools. Bassam is a laborer outside Tulkarem. Because his ability to go to work every day is inhibited by the checkpoint between his village and where he works, his income is unstable, and he often faces daily challenges in his effort to make a living.
Bassem works also in his own farm, where he plants seasonal crops, which he sells in the local market. Bassam took a USD loan from FATEN. This loan will help him to buy more seeds and seedlings to plant in his farm. This will increase his income and improve his living conditions. Bassam appears in the photo at his farm.
