Aisha is widowed and has three children. Two of her children go to school. She doesn’t take care of additional family members. She has a beauty salon business, and she has been in this business for four months.
She has applied for a loan of 200,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT SACCO. She will use the loan to buy more boxes of cream hair relaxer and braids, and a jerrycan of locally-brewed gin. She works at the market, seven days out of every week. Her major business challenges include seasonality and the ever-increasing prices of cosmetics in Uganda. She is aspiring to own a bridal salon and to build her own house.
