Ismael
Ismael is 67 years old and is married with 6 children. He has worked in agriculture from a young age, always working alongside his father and siblings. When he was 16 years old his father died and, being the oldest, Ismael took on responsibility for his other siblings, working on his own and other people's land. With a great deal of effort he worked with their oxen to provide the daily food for his family.

When Ismael was 23 he got married but he still helped his mother out. During his marriage he had 6 children who all have families of their own now. Four of them work with him in agriculture, growing 28,000 square metres of corn together. Ismael lives with just his wife, as his family all have their own homes.

The land where he works is 1km from his home and he has to get up early every day to get through all the necessary cultivation tasks. Sometimes he works all day and even has to stay up all night, since there are some pests which come at night. He works the 28,000 square metres with his children. They do a smaller proportion of the work but they help him as he has provided them with land to work on.

The loan will be used to buy agricultural supplies (manure, fertilisers), to pay for farmhands and to prepare the land for cultivation. Ismael hopes to improve his corn crop and manage to produce a bigger harvest so he can have a better income for himself and his wife.

With a lot of hard work and determination he wants to build a better house and to save a small amount of money from the profits he makes in agriculture to buy cattle.
