José has been a farmer for 11 years, a profession he learned from the husband of one of his aunts. He needed to learn from someone else since his parents didn't raise him and it was his aunt who always took care of him. Another job he has is as a brick layer. He farms in a location approximately 500 meters from his home, and his wife and oldest daughter help with the farming.

The loan will be used to buy seeds, fertilizer, insecticide, and herbicide and to pay off the rent for the farmland. With the harvest he plans to repay the loan and with the earnings he is planning to start a business selling bibles and hymnals. He plans on being able to plant 7000 square meters of land.

José has had a dream all his life of owning his own business and vehicle in order to transport his family. Another dream is to have a place where his children can live, he hopes next year to plan 7000 square meters more of land, but he knows that only by working hard will he be successful and with the support of his loans he wil see his dreams come true.

José tiene 45 años de edad, estudio hasta 3º grado, esta casado y su esposa se dedica al trabajos del hogar, han procreado tres hijos de 15, 12 y 9 años de edad, todos viven con él y estudian.

Por su parte, él se dedica a la agricultura, tiene 11 años de dedicarse a esta actividad productiva, el oficio lo aprendió del esposo de una tía suya,. Se vio en la necesidad de aprender con otra persona, debido a que sus padres no lo criaron y fue su tía quien todo el tiempo cuido de él. Otro oficio que realiza, es el de la albañilería. El lugar donde cultiva esta aproximadamente a 500 mts de su casa, y revise ayuda para cultivar de su esposa y su hija mayor.


El préstamo sera utilizado para comprar la semilla, abonos, insecticidas y herbicidas y para cancelar el alquiler de la tierra. con la producción piensa cancelar el préstamo y con las ganancias tiene pensado iniciar un negocio de venta de biblias e himnarios y la necesidad que sera satisfecha es que podrá sembrar 7,000 metros cuadrados de terreno.

Don José ha tenido un sueño toda la vida y consiste en poseer un negocio propio y un vehículo para movilizarse con toda su familia. Otro sueño es dejarles donde vivir a sus hijos, espera que el próximo año pueda sembrar 7,000 metros cuadrados mas de terreno; pero sabe que solo luchando por seguir adelante y con el apoyo de los créditos vera cumplido sus sueños.

These loans are smaller than the typical loans offered by this field partner, and guarantee requirements are also reduced. Individuals who receive this type of loan also get access to technical assistance, information on good environmental practices and increased access to farm inputs like fertilizer. This is considered a high risk loan due to the population and loan purpose, and CrediCampo is one of the very few institutions in El Salvador willing to working with these farmers.
